Tuscarora Tennis Barn will hold an open house and ribbon cutting on Thursday, September 5 from 4 to 6 pm, showcasing $150,000 in energy efficient improvements to the facility.  “Green” upgrades include replacing halogen lighting with fluorescent lights, which use 2/3 less energy, as well as adding a new layer of insulation in walls and ceilings to significantly reduce heating costs. Additionally, the indoor courts have been re-surfaced and painted the US Tennis Association colors as seen in the US Open.

Aubrey Dixon, President, said, “We are very pleased with the upgrades made this summer and have already received many positive comments from our members. In addition to saving energy, the new lighting system significantly improves the quality of play.”
